OpenGPT-X creates and trains large AI language models to drive innovative language application services for the European economy. Via the open Gaia-X infrastructure, data and services are used and shared by companies in multiple languages and in accordance with the highest European data protection standards for the development of products and processes with a wide variety of language functions (e.g. chatbots, digital assistants or personalized media reports). The project is being funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action from January 2022 to December 2024 as part of the Innovative and Practical Applications and Data Spaces in the Gaia-X Digital Ecosystem funding program.
