🚩 Report: Ethical issue(s)
Trying to define something controversial is itself a bias, and those who know it but still stick to it is arrogant and foolish. Don't mess up a scientific platform that aim to share techniques and knowledge with all these political stuff.
These people have set a bad example. Open-source models are meant to drive progress, not to be used as ideological propaganda weapons by removing the model's own censorship.
1989 happened, the great leap backwards happened. The only people you are hiding it from are yourselves.
It has happened, but this is not the right motivation to remove LLM censorship, and it certainly cannot allow a foreign small team that knows nothing about Chinese history to use WIKI and CNN etc as historical material sources to fine-tune the model.
Things that happened is the fact, and we don not refuse the fact. But don't mix the fact with the opinion you have, and try to mess them up and impose to others, because that is the bias.
I mean they can finetune whatever they want. They can finetune it to say the moon is made of cheese.
