# Welcome to the Open Source AI Meetup π

## Join the organization by clicking the 'Request to join this org' button on the top-right corner
- We would like to invite you to the **SF Hackathon**, a open source AI event in SF on March 31st at 6pm EST.
- We will be organizing this event here on <a href="https://huggingface.co/SFHackathon" target="_blank" style="text-decoration: underline">Huggingface Hub</a> and will be communicating with participants through the <a href="https://discord.gg/YtB7bm2H" target="_blank" style="text-decoration: underline">HuggingFace Discord Server</a>. Check the dedicated SF hackathon channel to stay updated with the event. Prizes will be given at the end of the event. See the Prizes section below.
## Hackathon Tracks :
Participants can take part in different tracks of the SF Hackathon. Each track will have winners announced at the end of the event! These tracks are:
1. **Ethics Track** - Participants need to create ethics focused Gradio app. See example here: https://huggingface.co/spaces/society-ethics/featured-spaces-submissions
2. **Hack Track: Artists** inspiring Hackers (artists talking about what tools they actually need / would use and hackers building those)
3. **Art Track**: Hackers inspiring Artists (educating artists on new ML tools that have come out and using that to build new kinds of art)
4. **Healthcare Track** - Participants create Gradio demos with a healthcare focus
5. **Chatbot Track** themes - In this track, we encourage participants to create demos around chatbots like chatgpt
6. **Diffusers track** - Create Gradio demos using the Hugging Face Diffusers Library!
7. **Trasformers track** - Create Gradio demos using Hugging Transformers library!
8. **Anything track** - Anything goes, create gradio demos/models/datasets for any of your ideas!
## How to Participate :
To participate in any track in the SF Event, first make sure you have read the email for invited participants and bring proper equipment needed.
- For all tracks, create and submit a new Gradio Demo:
- Step 1: Join the SF hackathon organization (this org) on Hub.
- Step 2: Share your gradio demos with the community at the event on social media and spread the word about the Event π€ |
